PTFE Non-Stick Covers The PTFE Fluoropolymer coated non-stick fabric covers listed here are designed to be placed on top of the element to keep the plastic material from sticking on most types of sealers including vacuum sealers. They do not, with the exception of the TZ cover, have an adhesive backing. PTFE coated Fiberglass non-stick covers and tapes act as a protective barrier to hot wire contacts and provides a quick release surface. Applicable for temperatures from 400°F to 600°F. The covers and tapes are a natural brown color and have the USDA approval for direct contact with food. The PTFE Covers are available in 5mil thickness from a width of 1" to 12" in precut sizes for different types of sealers, or by the roll in 10 yard or 36 yard rolls. Most hand sealers without cutters from 12" to 20" long use 1-1/4" covers. The 4" and 8" hand sealers use 1-1/8" covers. Hand sealers with cutters from 8" to 16" use 1-1/2" covers. Longer hand sealers, foot sealers and auto sealers use a different cover. The TZ cover has a 1/2" adhesive strip down both sides allowing the cover to be placed on an element without removing any screws. The center 1/2" of the TZ cover is adhesive free. |

They are available in a variety of lengths and are 12" long and 5 mil thick. They do not have an adhesive backing. PTFE coated Fiberglass covers and tapes act as a protective barrier to hot wire contacts and provides a quick release surface. Applicable for temperatures from 400°F to 600°F. The covers and tapes are a natural brown color and have the USDA approval for direct contact with food. |

PTFE Adhesives The PTFE Fluoropolymer adhesives listed here are designed to be placed under the element to keep the element from shorting out on most types of sealers. PTFE adhesives are a non-stick cloth with an adhesive back that sticks to the sealer under where the element goes. PTFE adhesives are similar to PTFE covers except with a silicone adhesive backing. The adhesives are applicable for temperatures between -100°F to 500° Fahrenheit (-73° Celsius to 260° Celsius). They are available from 1/2" to 2" widths in 3mil, 6mil, and 10 mil. thickness with a removable liner. There are several sizes available without the removable liner or backing. It is very important to change the PTFE adhesive every time you change an element. If any part of the element comes in contact with the metal sealer, it will short out!
